Fire-NOC Document Checklist
The costliest Fire-NOC mistake is applying after construction. Fire-scheme approval should run alongside the building plan so life-safety is designed in, not retrofitted. Exact submissions vary by State fire service.
- NBC 2016 Part 4 · National Building Code of India — Fire and Life Safety
- State Fire Rules · Applicable State Fire Prevention & Life Safety Act / Rules
Apply at the right stage
- Seek fire-scheme approval / provisional NOC at the BLUEPRINT (building-plan) stage — before construction, not after install.
- Obtain the final/occupancy Fire-NOC after installation and inspection by the fire service.
Typical documents (verify with your State fire service)
- Architectural building plans — all floors, sections and elevations with occupancy and height marked.
- Fire-protection scheme drawings — hydrants, wet riser, sprinklers, detection/alarm, extinguishers.
- Area statement, occupant load and means-of-egress / travel-distance plan.
- Fire-water storage and pump-room details; refuge area and staircase/pressurization details.
- Equipment specifications and approved makes; site plan with fire-tender access.
- Ownership / authorisation documents and prescribed application form and fees.
Verify — Fire-NOC requirements, forms, fees and the staged process differ by State and city fire service. Confirm the exact submission list with the local Authority Having Jurisdiction.

We'll review your scheme against the governing code and own the statutory approvals — so compliance is designed in, not retrofitted.
