Water Supply & Distribution

Domestic and flushing water networks in CPVC/uPVC/GI with pressure zoning, overhead/underground tank integration and metering.

Full scope of work, delivery and related tools →

Why it matters

Correct pipe sizing and pressure zoning give every floor consistent flow with no water hammer or dead legs — and leak-free joints protect the building for decades.

  • CPVC / uPVC / GI
  • Pressure-zoned risers
  • IS-grade fittings
  • Leak & pressure tested
Approved makes & standards we use
Astral Supreme Finolex Ashirvad Prince
Any building needing reliable, code-compliant domestic and flushing water.

Soil, Waste & Rainwater Drainage

Gravity drainage for soil, waste and rainwater with correct venting, traps and slopes, plus storm-water networks.

Full scope of work, delivery and related tools →

Why it matters

Drainage designed to code prevents foul smells, gurgling traps and backflow. Proper venting and slope are what separate a hygienic building from constant complaints.

  • Single / two-pipe systems
  • Anti-siphon venting
  • Correct gradients
  • uPVC / SWR / cast-iron
Approved makes & standards we use
Supreme Astral Prince Finolex
Every occupied building — critical for hygiene, odour control and approvals.

Pumping & Hydro-Pneumatic Systems

Booster, transfer and hydro-pneumatic pump sets with VFD control for constant pressure across high-rise and large-footprint buildings.

Full scope of work, delivery and related tools →

Why it matters

Hydro-pneumatic pumping gives uniform pressure on every floor without overhead-tank height, and VFD control saves energy and extends pump life.

  • VFD constant-pressure
  • Duty / standby sets
  • Booster & transfer pumps
  • Energy-efficient operation
Approved makes & standards we use
Grundfos Kirloskar CRI Wilo KSB
High-rises, hotels and campuses needing consistent water pressure.

Service Shafts & Risers

PHE shaft layout and riser design — water, soil, waste and vent stacks routed through vertical service shafts with the clearances maintenance actually needs.

Why it matters

Shaft positions are fixed at architectural stage and are close to impossible to move once the slab is cast. An undersized shaft is the most common reason a plumbing layout has to be redrawn late, and the reason pipework ends up where nobody can reach it to repair.

  • Shaft sized to stack diameters
  • Access panels at every floor
  • Wet and dry shafts kept separate
  • Fire-stopping at every slab crossing
High-rise, hotel and hospital projects where shafts are still being set at design stage.

Sanitary Ware & CP Fittings

Supply and installation of sanitary fixtures, CP fittings, faucets and washroom systems matched to the project's grade and budget.

Why it matters

Fixtures are what the client touches every day. Right-grade, water-efficient fittings cut consumption and lift the perceived quality of the whole project.

  • Water-efficient fixtures
  • Concealed cisterns
  • Sensor & touchless taps
  • Premium to value grades
Approved makes & standards we use
Jaquar Kohler Hindware Cera Grohe
Hotels, hospitals, offices and homes specifying washrooms and fixtures.

STP / WTP / ETP

Sewage, water and effluent treatment plants — process design, equipment and integration for reuse and statutory discharge norms.

Full scope of work, delivery and related tools →

Why it matters

Treatment plants are mandatory for occupancy and pollution-board clearance, and treated water reused for flushing/landscape sharply cuts fresh-water cost.

  • MBBR / MBR / SBR
  • Pollution-board compliant
  • Treated-water reuse
  • PLC-automated
Approved makes & standards we use
Ion Exchange Thermax VA Tech Wabag Grundfos
Townships, hospitals, hotels and factories needing treatment & reuse.

Rainwater Harvesting & Recycling

Rooftop and surface rainwater harvesting, recharge structures and water-recycling loops integrated with the plumbing system.

Full scope of work, delivery and related tools →

Why it matters

Harvesting is statutory in most cities and directly recharges groundwater while cutting water bills — a low-cost system with fast payback and green-rating credits.

  • Rooftop & recharge pits
  • Filtration & first-flush
  • Statutory compliance
  • Green-rating credits
Approved makes & standards we use
Rainy Astral Supreme
New developments needing statutory RWH or sustainability credits.

Durations are typical bands for a straightforward site and move with project size, authority workload and client approvals. Stage 2 timelines belong to the statutory authority, not the contractor — what we control is a submission that passes first time.

Buyer's guide

Before you ask us to quote plumbing

Secured Engineers Pvt. Ltd. quotes plumbing for industrial, commercial and institutional facilities across India, and this is what its engineers ask for first. What to have ready, what moves the price and the programme, which approvals apply, and the mistakes seen most often — so the first conversation is a useful one.

What to have ready

  • Occupancy and the basis of water demand — per-capita or process consumption
  • Water source and quality: municipal supply, borewell or tanker, with any test report
  • Drainage outfall: municipal sewer available, or an on-site STP required
  • Site levels and the invert level of the nearest sewer
  • Sanitary schedule — fixture counts and grades by area
  • Hot-water requirement and its heat source
  • Reuse targets for treated water — flushing, landscaping, cooling-tower make-up
  • Local-authority conditions such as a rainwater-harvesting or STP mandate

What drives the cost

  • Fixture count and the grade of sanitary ware and fittings
  • Pipe material — CPVC, PPR, GI, HDPE or stainless — and the pressure class
  • Building height, which sets pumping arrangement and pressure zoning
  • STP or ETP capacity and treatment technology
  • Hot-water system and its distribution
  • Treatment and recycling scope, and the dual-piping it needs
  • Rainwater-harvesting structures and filtration
  • Distance between source, storage, treatment and outfall

What drives the timeline

  • Embedded work — sleeves and under-slab drainage — must be in before the slab and finishes
  • Shaft coordination with HVAC and electrical
  • STP civil work and equipment delivery
  • Municipal water and sewer connection approvals
  • Pressure testing and disinfection before handover

Approvals that usually apply

  • Municipal or local-body water and sewer connections
  • State pollution-board consent to establish and operate for STP/ETP
  • Rainwater-harvesting compliance in the building-plan sanction where mandated
  • Central Ground Water Authority NOC for borewells above the notified thresholds
  • Fire-water storage where the tank is shared with the fire scheme, checked against the Fire NOC

Standards and codes we design to

  • IS 2065 water supply
  • IS 1172 sanitation
  • NBC 2016 Part 9
  • CPHEEO manual
  • IS 4985 / IS 12251 pipes

Maintenance after handover

Pump servicing and seal checks, periodic tank cleaning with records, STP operation with daily process monitoring and sludge disposal, water-quality testing, valve exercising, drainage rodding or CCTV survey, and rainwater filters cleaned before the monsoon.

See our AMC and maintenance scope →

Mistakes we see most often

  • Sizing tanks and pumps on rule-of-thumb figures instead of the NBC water-demand basis
  • No pressure zoning in tall buildings, so lower floors see excessive pressure
  • Mixing potable and treated-water lines without cross-connection control
  • STP sized for design occupancy but not for peak or future occupancy
  • Skipping pressure and disinfection tests
  • Burying valves and cleanouts with no access for maintenance

Have most of this to hand? Enquire about plumbing or request a proposal — a site survey and concept design come first, at no cost.

FAQ

Plumbing — frequently asked questions

Do you design STP and rainwater harvesting for approvals?

Yes. We design sewage treatment plants (STP), rainwater harvesting and water-supply systems sized to pollution-board and local-authority norms, and obtain the relevant consents so your building is compliant.

What plumbing scope do you cover?

Domestic and flushing water supply, drainage and sewage, hot-water systems, pumps, water treatment, STP and rainwater harvesting — designed, installed, tested and commissioned end to end.

How do you size water tanks and pumps?

We size storage and pumps from occupancy, fixture units and demand per NBC 2016 and IS 1172. Our free water-demand and pump-head calculators give a quick estimate; the final design is engineered for your building.

What is a PHE shaft?

A PHE shaft is the vertical service duct that carries a building's plumbing risers — water-supply lines, soil and waste stacks, vent pipes and rainwater downtakes — from floor to floor, with access panels at each level for inspection and maintenance. It is planned per NBC 2016 Part 9 alongside the architectural layout.

How big should a PHE shaft be?

Shaft size follows the pipes, not a rule of thumb: it is worked out from the number and diameters of risers it carries, their clamping arrangement, insulation where applicable, and the clear access needed to reach every joint. The classic failure is a shaft fixed at architecture stage before the plumbing design exists — we coordinate shaft sizing during design so risers never end up buried or unreachable.
