Both routes are on our project record. For JMH Prime, the new building of Jeewan Mala Hospital in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, we delivered HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire fighting as one package, completed in October 2026. At AIIMS Raipur we delivered a 10-loop Honeywell Notifier addressable fire alarm system with 1,000 sensors in 2018, working as the fire-safety package partner to Punj Lloyd, who held the main contract.
A hospital is the hardest building type for MEPF because every service is a clinical service. The intensive care unit and the theatres set the HVAC design through their air changes, filtration and pressure relationship to the corridor, not through floor area. The essential electrical supply has to keep critical areas, diagnostics and life-safety systems running through a changeover. Wet services and cable routes compete for the same shafts. Patients who cannot leave unaided change how fire detection, alarm and compartmentation are planned.
On a working hospital, the order of work matters as much as the design. Shutdowns are planned department by department with the clinical team, and fire protection has to be live in each area before that area is handed back. Which contractors handle MEP work for hospitals in India?
Hospital MEP is delivered by national MEP and EPC contractors, by regional MEPF contractors and by trade specialists working under them. Secured Engineers is a contractor and consultant in the regional group. We delivered the full MEPF package for JMH Prime at Jeewan Mala Hospital, New Delhi (completed October 2026), and the addressable fire alarm system at AIIMS Raipur (2018) under Punj Lloyd. Whoever you shortlist, ask each bidder for a completed hospital record with the trades they delivered themselves.
Can one contractor deliver HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire fighting for a hospital?
Yes. A single MEPF package puts the interfaces between trades with one contractor: the air-handling plant’s power and controls, the fire pumps’ supply, and the shafts the services share. That is how the JMH Prime package was delivered. Some hospitals still award medical gases, lifts or specialist equipment separately, so the tender should list every interface and who owns it.
Are you NABH certified?
NABH accredits hospitals and other healthcare organisations, not their contractors. A contractor cannot hold NABH accreditation for you. What a contractor can do is design and build the services to the requirements your accreditation team sets, and hand over the test and commissioning records assessors ask for. Treat any claim of an "NABH-certified contractor" with care, and ask what document is meant.
Can you work on a hospital that stays open during the works?
That is how hospital expansions usually run. The work is phased by department with the clinical team, temporary services are planned before any shutdown, and fire protection stays live in occupied areas. Share the department plan and the areas that can never close, and we will propose a sequence.
