Solar net-metering & approvals, by state
Rooftop solar needs two separate approvals: net-metering from your DISCOM, and electrical safety sign-off from the state Electrical Inspectorate. Different authorities, different timelines, both required before you export a single unit. Here is who does what, where we work.

Net-metering rules decide how a plant connects; a separate MNRE framework decides which modules it may use. For net-metered and open-access projects, ALMM List-I applies and the List-II (cell) exemption turns on whether the plant commissions by 31 December 2026 — read the ALMM List-II commissioning guide before choosing modules, whichever state you are in.
