Warehousing & logistics

Warehouse MEPF & firefighting contractor

Fast-track MEPF, fire protection, ventilation, lighting and rooftop solar for warehouses and logistics facilities — scoped against your racking, your clear height and your handover date.

What the scope actually covers

Fire protection

Hydrant, sprinkler and pump room designed to the storage classification and rack height — in-rack sprinklers where the commodity and height require them, not as an afterthought.

Power distribution

Incomer, LT distribution, dock power, charging points for MHE, and the earthing to go with it.

High-bay lighting

Lux designed to the aisle, not the floor plate — including the difference between an empty shed and a racked one.

Ventilation

Natural and mechanical ventilation for heat build-up under a metal roof, plus smoke ventilation where the fire strategy calls for it.

Fire NOC & approvals

Fire NOC documentation and authority coordination, plus CEIG approval where the electrical installation requires it.

Rooftop solar

Large uninterrupted metal roofs are the best solar surface in Indian industry. Structural capacity and sanctioned load decide what is actually installable.

Where these projects go wrong

  • Fire design done before the racking is known

Storage height and commodity class drive the entire sprinkler design. Fixing that after the racks are ordered means redesigning the wet system.

  • Solar promised on a roof that cannot carry it

Metal sheet roofs vary enormously in purlin spacing and residual capacity. The structural check has to come before the capacity is quoted, not after.

  • Lighting designed for an empty shed

Lux measured floor-to-ceiling in an empty building looks fine and then fails once racking blocks the throw. Aisle-level design is the only meaningful test.

  • Handover date treated as flexible

Warehouse leases have hard dates with penalties attached. MEPF is usually the last trade and absorbs every delay upstream unless it is sequenced deliberately.

How we deliver it

  1. 1

    Storage and layout review

Racking layout, clear height, commodity class and dock configuration — these decide the fire, lighting and power design far more than floor area does.

  2. 2

    Fire strategy and design

Sprinkler and hydrant design to NBC 2016 and the storage classification, agreed with the fire authority's expectations in mind.

  3. 3

    Approvals filed in parallel

Fire NOC documentation prepared while procurement runs, so approval is not what holds up occupation.

  4. 4

    Fast-track execution

Sequenced against your handover date, with the trades that block occupation prioritised.

  5. 5

    Testing, commissioning and handover

Flow tests, lux verification, inspection attendance and the documentation pack for both the authority and your operations team.

Questions we get asked

Can you work to a fixed handover date?

That is normally the governing constraint on these projects, and we plan the programme backwards from it. What we will not do is agree a date we do not believe — if the sequence does not support it we will say so before signing, not afterwards.

Is rooftop solar worth it on a warehouse?

Often yes — the roof is large, unshaded and uninterrupted, which is the ideal surface. Two things decide it: whether the roof structure can carry the additional load, and what your sanctioned load allows you to export. Both are checked before we quote a capacity.

Do you handle the Fire NOC?

Yes, in-house — design, documentation and authority coordination. For warehousing the fire authority pays close attention to storage classification and rack height, so the design has to reflect how the shed will actually be used.

We already have a shell. Can you retrofit MEPF?

Yes. Fit-out of an existing shell is common, and the main constraints are the incoming supply, the roof structure and whatever was left behind by the shell contractor. A site visit settles all three quickly.

Send us your drawings, BOQ or bill

An engineer will review it and come back with scope, budget range and the approvals that apply — usually within one business day.
