Scope of work
The system is zoned to match the building's evacuation strategy — which areas are told to evacuate and which to stand by — with speaker type and spacing designed for intelligibility in each space rather than loudness alone, and amplifiers with the standby capacity and monitoring a life-safety system needs. Pre-recorded messages, live-microphone priority and the fire-alarm interface are defined with the fire strategy. Day-to-day paging and background music run on the same system. We supply and install the speakers, cabling, amplifiers, controllers and microphones.
How it is delivered — and what you receive
Intelligibility is checked in each zone, the fire-alarm interface is tested as part of the integrated cause-and-effect — an alarm at a detector must produce the correct message in the correct zones — and the amplifier monitoring and standby power are proven. The system forms part of the Fire NOC scheme where NBC requires voice evacuation. The client receives the zone plan, the message schedule and the test records.
