What an engineer looks at: a suitable system size range for your site; how much of your roof is realistically usable once shading, skylights and walkways are taken out; how much of your consumption falls in daylight hours, because that is what solar can actually offset; an indicative investment range; and the engineering checks that come next — sanctioned-load headroom, roof structure and the DISCOM route for your district.
Assumptions we state rather than hide: generation figures are modelled from regional averages, not measured at your site. Indicative costs are exclusive of GST and exclude roof strengthening, HT-side works, battery storage and statutory fees.
What this is not: not a detailed engineering design, not a guaranteed saving, not an assurance that any approval will be granted, and not a commitment to a site visit. Your connected load is not the same as the solar capacity you can install, and solar offsets energy charges — it does not make an entire bill disappear. Where a number depends on something we have not seen, we will say so rather than assume it.

Which DISCOM processes net metering in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh is the state where getting this wrong costs the most: four regional nigams divide the 75 districts between them, and Kanpur city is served by a separate city company. A single "UPPCL" answer is not usable — you file to the nigam that holds your district.

PVVNL's own published list uses Gautambudh Nagar for Gautam Buddha Nagar and J.P. Nagar for Amroha.

MVVNL's own published list uses Faizabad for Ayodhya, Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj Nagar for Amethi, Budaun for Badaun and Lakhimpur for Lakhimpur Kheri.

DVVNL is the distribution licensee in 21 districts: Agra, Mathura, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Kasganj, Aligarh, Hathras, Etawah, Auraiya, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Jhansi, Jalaun, Lalitpur, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda and Chitrakoot.
DVVNL's own published list uses Kanshiram Nagar for Kasganj, Kanpur City for Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur rural for Kanpur Dehat and Jalaun Urai for Jalaun.
DVVNL covers the Bundelkhand and Agra–Aligarh industrial stretch. Its published list names Kanpur City even though KESCO is the city licensee — for a plant inside Kanpur city limits, confirm the licensee with the department before filing.

KESCO supplies Kanpur city (municipal limits).
A city licensee rather than a regional nigam. Plants just outside the municipal boundary fall to DVVNL, so the boundary — not the postal address — decides the filing route.

Which electrical inspectorate approves solar installations in Uttar Pradesh?
