Scope of work
The pump sets are sized for the combined hydrant and sprinkler demand at the required pressure, with an electric main pump, a diesel standby of equal duty, and a jockey pump to hold the system pressurised. The pump room is designed to NBC — its location and access, the tank capacity and the suction arrangement (positive suction, or the priming the code allows), ventilation and exhaust for the diesel set, drainage, and the electrical supply and controllers with auto-start on pressure drop. We supply and install the pumps, engines, controllers, header, valves, the tank connections and the room's own services.
How it is delivered — and what you receive
Each pump is run against its curve — pressure and flow measured — and the auto-start sequence proven: the jockey holds pressure, the main starts on the first drop, the diesel starts if the main fails or on a further drop. The diesel set is run for the duration the standard requires, with its batteries, fuel and cooling checked. The test is witnessed by the fire officer for the NOC and repeated on the AMC schedule. The client receives the pump curves, the controller settings and the test log.
