Why it matters

What this system decides for your project

Sprinklers control fire at its source before it spreads, protecting life and property and often reducing insurance premiums. Hydraulic design ensures every head gets rated flow.

You need a quote for this if: Warehouses, malls, basements, data centres and high-rises needing sprinkler cover.

Scope

Scope of work

The design starts from the hazard classification — light, ordinary or high hazard, and for storage the commodity class and rack height — because that sets the design density, the area of operation and therefore the pipe sizes and the water demand. Head type and temperature rating, spacing and obstruction clearances follow the standard; the system type — wet, dry, pre-action or deluge — follows the risk and the environment. The network is hydraulically calculated from the remote area back to the pumps. We supply and install the pipework, heads, valves, alarm valves, flow switches and the connections to the alarm system.

How it is delivered — and what you receive

Pipe is installed to the calculated sizes and pressure-tested; alarm valves, flow switches and pre-action or deluge releases are function-tested with the detection system. Obstructions from ducts, trays and racking are checked against the head layout before the ceiling closes, because a head that cannot see the fire does not count at inspection. The client receives the hydraulic calculation, the as-built, the test certificates and the head schedule.
