India-based engineering · Subconsultant support for Nigerian firms

MEP subconsultant support for Nigerian engineering firms

Add defined MEP design and review capacity to your firm, with your COREN-registered team keeping the client relationship and local engineering responsibility.

Secured Engineers Pvt. Ltd. works only as a remote subconsultant to appropriately registered Nigerian firms, delivering scoped MEP documents from India. This is consultancy only, with no supply, installation or site execution.

Start with one paid package. Agree the outputs, fee, programme and revisions before work begins.

Remote support with clear responsibilities. Local signing, authority submissions, site verification and supervision must be assigned to the appropriately authorised project team. We confirm the permitted scope and design criteria before accepting an appointment.

Why we work through your registered firm

Nigerian law regulates foreign engineering firms closely. We therefore support registered Nigerian firms instead of offering engineering services directly to owners in Nigeria.

COREN

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria registers engineers and engineering firms. Reports of the 2019 amendment describe registration and local design office requirements for foreign firms, so your firm holds the engineering appointment.

Your firm's responsibility

Your registered engineers check, sign and submit the work, and keep the relationship with the client and the authorities.

Permits and fire review

Your firm confirms the planning, building and fire review route for the state and manages those submissions.

Utilities

Supply capacity and connection requirements are obtained from the relevant distribution company and recorded as design inputs.

General orientation only, not legal or regulatory advice. Requirements change and vary by site, so confirm them with your local team.

Choose the task

Three ways to work with us

01

Subconsultant design package

For registered firms needing MEP capacity on a defined scope.

What you provide

Approved brief, architecture, design criteria, utility data and required issue stage.

Outputs to agree

The agreed calculations, layouts, schedules and BOQ, ready for your engineers' checking and issue.

Your registered firm keeps signing and submission responsibilities.

02

Drawing & BOQ review

For firms checking their own or a third party's package before tender.

What you provide

Current drawings, BOQ, specifications and scope split.

Outputs to agree

A referenced issue register, discrepancies and scope questions for your team to resolve.

Our review does not replace your engineer's check.

03

Coordination & revisions

For teams closing clashes, comments or design changes.

What you provide

Backgrounds, MEP drawings, comments and revision history.

Outputs to agree

Coordination markups, a query register and agreed updates with a revision record.

Site inspection and supervision remain with your local team.

Design points we raise early on Nigerian work

Generators, solar and the grid

Many buildings need to run from more than one source. Essential loads, generator capacity, solar, storage and changeover should be settled before the electrical design is fixed.

Coastal conditions

Lagos and Port Harcourt bring heat, humidity and corrosion risk. Outdoor conditions and material requirements belong in the design basis and specifications.

Fuel and plant space

Generator rooms, fuel storage, ventilation and access take real space and affect fire design. Coordinate them with architecture early rather than finding room on site.

What a review can contain

Each finding should lead to a decision

A useful review ties an observation to its source document and the action needed from the project team.

Illustrative review format. These are fictional examples, not findings from a client project or a certification of design compliance.

Document referenceObservationAction to resolve
Generator schedule E-04 / architecture A-02The generator room shown does not allow for the fuel storage and ventilation in the schedule.Coordinate the room layout with architecture.
Electrical SLD E-01 / BOQ §2Automatic changeover between grid and generator has no matching BOQ item.Add the item or confirm the package boundary.
Specification M-S1 / outdoor unit scheduleNo corrosion protection is stated for condensers on a coastal site.Confirm the coating requirement and update the schedule.

Read the scope behind the reference

These are existing published project references, with their recorded scope and limitations. They are not presented as appointments in Nigeria or as evidence of local authority approval.

Sector 43 drawing and BOQ revisions

Our published project record includes correspondence recording revised fire-fighting drawings and BOQ submitted for review for the Sector 43 parking project.

The submission records revision activity; it does not establish authority approval or completed installation.

NXP MEP design

Our company profile identifies a bespoke MEP design role for NXP. The published case sets out the recorded role and considerations for a similar design appointment.

The project location remains unreconciled. The profile reference does not establish experience in Nigeria, a certified performance result or an approval outcome.

From enquiry to agreed deliverables

Begin with a manageable paid pilot

One system, one discipline or one drawing set gives both teams a defined first assignment. Enquiries can concern projects in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and other states, through your registered Nigerian firm.

Working in more than one country? See our global MEP consultancy support.

  1. Confirm fit and confidentiality

Share a brief and document list. Agree any NDA before confidential files are exchanged.

  2. Agree the appointment

Set the design basis, inputs, outputs, fee currency, payment milestones, deadline and revision allowance.

  3. Review the first issue

Receive the agreed package, assumptions and open queries. Consolidate comments through the nominated project contact.

  4. Close comments and decide the next scope

Track responses and revisions against the appointment. Agree any additional work separately.

India is 4.5 hours ahead of Nigeria, so our desk overlaps with your morning and early afternoon.

Before you appoint a remote MEP partner

Are you registered with COREN?

This page does not present Secured Engineers as registered with COREN. Our offices are in Ludhiana and Noida, India, and we work only as a remote subconsultant to appropriately registered Nigerian firms. Confirm the route that applies to your appointment before any work starts.

Can a project owner in Nigeria appoint you directly?

We do not offer engineering services directly to owners in Nigeria. If you are an owner, ask your registered engineering firm to contact us, or tell us in your enquiry that you have not appointed one yet.

Do you handle permits or site work?

No. Your registered firm owns permits, authority submissions, site inspection and supervision. Our Nigerian work is consultancy only, with no supply, installation or site execution.

Can we start with one package?

Yes. Start with one discipline, one drawing set or one review as a paid pilot. We agree the inputs, deliverables, fee, programme and included revisions first.

Can we share confidential drawings?

Tell us your confidentiality requirements first and agree any NDA before sending confidential files. This enquiry form does not upload project files.

Discuss your Nigeria project scope

Tell us what needs designing, checking or coordinating. We confirm suitability, inputs, deliverables, fee and programme before engineering starts.

What do you need?

Please mention your firm, the state, project stage and the scope you need help with.

Have documents? Agree any NDA first, then share them by WhatsApp or email. This form does not upload files.

ONE PARTNER. END TO END. You focus on your business — we handle the rest.
