India-based engineering · Remote support for Tanzanian projects

MEP design consultancy support for Tanzania project teams

Bring scoped MEP design and review support into your Tanzanian project, with the registered firm or engineer named from day one.

Secured Engineers Pvt. Ltd. supports registered consulting firms, architects, contractors and project owners with defined MEP documents, delivered remotely from India.

Start with one paid package. Agree the outputs, fee, programme and revisions before work begins.

Remote support with clear responsibilities. Local signing, authority submissions, site verification and supervision must be assigned to the appropriately authorised project team. We confirm the permitted scope and design criteria before accepting an appointment. In East Africa we work only as a remote MEP design consultant. We do not take supply, installation, site execution or contracting work.

Start with the registered engineering route

Tanzania's Engineers Registration Board (ERB) requires firms offering professional engineering services in the country to be registered. So the first thing we settle is how a remote appointment fits around your registered team.

Engineers Registration Board (ERB)

Regulates engineers and engineering firms. The appointment names the registered engineer or firm responsible for the engineering services in Tanzania.

Fire and Rescue Force

Your project team confirms the fire-safety review requirements for the site and manages that route.

TANESCO

Supply capacity, metering and connection requirements are obtained from the utility and recorded as electrical design inputs.

Environment and planning authorities

Your local team manages planning, permit and environmental routes, and we provide agreed design information where it is in scope.

General orientation only, not legal or regulatory advice. Requirements change and vary by site, so confirm them with your local team.

Choose the task

Three ways to work with us

01

Drawing & BOQ review

For registered firms, contractors and owners checking a package before tender.

What you provide

Current drawings, BOQ, specifications and scope split.

Outputs to agree

A referenced issue register, drawing–BOQ discrepancies and scope questions for the responsible team to resolve.

Our review does not certify design compliance or replace the registered engineer's check.

02

Subconsultant design package

For a registered consulting firm or architect that needs defined MEP capacity.

What you provide

Approved brief, architecture, design criteria, utility data and required issue stage.

Outputs to agree

The agreed calculations, layouts, schedules and BOQ, ready for your firm's checking and issue.

Your registered firm keeps signing and submission responsibilities.

03

Coordination & revisions

For teams closing clashes, comments or design changes.

What you provide

Backgrounds, MEP drawings, comments and revision history.

Outputs to agree

Coordination markups, an interface and query register, and agreed updates with a revision record.

BIM models and site inspection are not included unless expressly agreed with the right party.

Design points we raise early on Tanzanian work

Coastal heat and humidity

Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar put more latent load on cooling systems, and salt air affects outdoor equipment and metalwork. Material and coating requirements belong in the specifications, not in site decisions.

Highland and coastal sites differ

Arusha and Dodoma have quite different climates and elevations from the coast, so outdoor conditions and altitude effects are set per site rather than copied across the country.

Imported equipment and spares

Lead times and local service support can shape what is practical. We list alternatives and assumptions in the schedules so your team can test them against local supply before tender.

What a review can contain

Each finding should lead to a decision

A useful review ties an observation to its source document and the action needed from the project team.

Illustrative review format. These are fictional examples, not findings from a client project or a certification of design compliance.

Document referenceObservationAction to resolve
Specification M-S1 / outdoor unit scheduleNo corrosion protection is specified for condensers on a coastal site.Confirm the coating requirement and update the schedule.
Electrical E-02 / utility letterThe drawing states a supply capacity that the supplied utility correspondence does not confirm.Obtain written confirmation of the available capacity.
Fire F-01 / BOQ §6The fire water tank is drawn, but the pump-room valves and fittings are not itemised.Add the items or confirm the package boundary.

Read the scope behind the reference

These are existing published project references, with their recorded scope and limitations. They are not presented as appointments in Tanzania or as evidence of local authority approval.

Chandigarh, India · Consultancy

Sector 43 drawing and BOQ revisions

Our published project record includes correspondence recording revised fire-fighting drawings and BOQ submitted for review for the Sector 43 parking project.

The submission records revision activity; it does not establish authority approval or completed installation.

NXP MEP design

Our company profile identifies a bespoke MEP design role for NXP. The published case sets out the recorded role and considerations for a similar design appointment.

The project location remains unreconciled. The profile reference does not establish experience in Tanzania, a certified performance result or an approval outcome.

From enquiry to agreed deliverables

Begin with a manageable paid pilot

One system, one discipline or one drawing set gives both teams a defined first assignment. Enquiries can concern projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Arusha, Mwanza, Zanzibar and other regions.

Working in more than one country? See our global MEP consultancy support.

  1. Confirm fit and confidentiality

Share a brief and document list. Agree any NDA before confidential files are exchanged.

  2. Agree the appointment

Set the design basis, inputs, outputs, fee currency, payment milestones, deadline and revision allowance.

  3. Review the first issue

Receive the agreed package, assumptions and open queries. Consolidate comments through the nominated project contact.

  4. Close comments and decide the next scope

Track responses and revisions against the appointment. Agree any additional work separately.

India is 2.5 hours ahead of Tanzania, which leaves most of the East Africa working day open for calls and reviews.

Before you appoint a remote MEP partner

Do you supply equipment or carry out installation?

No. In East Africa we work only as a remote MEP design consultant. We do not take supply, installation, site execution or contracting work. If you need a contractor, we can review their drawings, BOQ or proposal for you.

Are you registered with the ERB in Tanzania?

This page does not present Secured Engineers as an ERB-registered firm. Our offices are in Ludhiana and Noida, India, and this offer is for defined remote design and document support around a registered engineer or firm. Before any appointment, the parties confirm the registration and contract route that applies to the work.

Can a project owner in Tanzania approach you directly?

Yes, you are welcome to send us your requirement. We then look at the scope with you and your registered engineer or firm so that the route is clear before any engineering starts. If you have not appointed one yet, tell us that in your enquiry.

Do you handle fire or TANESCO submissions?

No. This page does not offer Tanzanian authority approvals, utility applications or site supervision. Your local team owns those routes, and we provide the agreed drawings, calculations or schedules as inputs where they are in scope.

Which standards do you work to?

We agree the design basis with the client and responsible engineer for each appointment, then confirm our capability against it before accepting the scope. Please include any client, lender or brand standards in your brief.

Can we start with one package?

Yes. Start with one discipline, one drawing set or one review as a paid pilot. We agree the inputs, deliverables, fee, programme and included revisions before starting.

Discuss your Tanzania project scope

Tell us what needs designing, checking or coordinating. We confirm suitability, inputs, deliverables, fee and programme before engineering starts.

In East Africa we work only as a remote MEP design consultant. We do not take supply, installation, site execution or contracting work.

What do you need?

Please mention the region, project stage and whether an ERB-registered engineer or firm is appointed.

Have documents? Agree any NDA first, then share them by WhatsApp or email. This form does not upload files.

ONE PARTNER. END TO END. You focus on your business — we handle the rest.
