India-based engineering · Remote support for Zambian projects

MEP and solar design support for Zambia projects

Get MEP calculations, solar and backup power design inputs, and BOQ checks for your Zambian project, working with the local team that carries responsibility on site.

Secured Engineers Pvt. Ltd. supports consultants, contractors, developers and factory owners with scoped design and document review, delivered remotely from India. This is consultancy only, with no supply, installation or site execution.

Start with one paid package. Agree the outputs, fee, programme and revisions before work begins.

Remote support with clear responsibilities. Local signing, authority submissions, site verification and supervision must be assigned to the appropriately authorised project team. We confirm the permitted scope and design criteria before accepting an appointment.

Who does what on a Zambian project

Power supply often decides a Zambian design as much as the building does. We record these points in the design basis, and your local team confirms the current requirements for the site.

Engineering Institution of Zambia

Regulates the engineering profession. Your local team confirms who must register or certify the work, and that person is named in the appointment.

Net metering regulations

Electricity (Net Metering) Regulations were published in 2024. Your local team confirms eligibility, the current process and the required documents with the distribution provider.

ZESCO

Supply capacity, connection and any net metering requirements are confirmed with ZESCO and recorded as design inputs.

Energy Regulation Board

The regulator publishes guidance on net metering. Your team manages licensing and regulatory routes, and we provide agreed design information where it is in scope.

General orientation only, not legal or regulatory advice. Requirements change and vary by site, so confirm them with your local team.

Choose the task

Three ways to work with us

01

Drawing & BOQ review

For consultants, contractors and owners checking a package or quote before tender.

What you provide

Current drawings, BOQ, specifications and the scope split.

Outputs to agree

A referenced issue register, discrepancies and scope questions for your team to resolve.

Pricing, remeasurement and redesign are agreed separately.

02

MEP and solar design package

For local firms and developers needing capacity on a defined scope.

What you provide

Brief, architecture, load data, utility information and required issue stage.

Outputs to agree

The agreed calculations, layouts, schedules and BOQ, with assumptions recorded for your engineer's checking.

Local certification and submissions stay with your local team.

03

Backup power review

For owners and teams deciding between grid, solar, storage and generators.

What you provide

Load records, outage history, single-line diagram and any supplier proposals.

Outputs to agree

A review of essential loads, assumptions and interfaces in the supplied proposals, with questions for your team.

This is not an energy-yield guarantee or a supply offer.

Design points we raise early on Zambian work

Design around power shortages

Drought has cut hydro generation in recent years and ZESCO has reported a large power deficit. Essential loads, solar, storage, generators and changeover should be agreed before the electrical design is fixed.

Size solar to the real load

A bill or a nameplate list is not enough. Daytime load, outage hours and critical circuits decide what solar and storage can actually carry, so we set out the assumptions for your team to test.

Mining and industrial sites

Copperbelt and processing sites often have large motor loads, dust and owner standards. Share those standards and the operating pattern with your brief so the design basis reflects them.

What a review can contain

Each finding should lead to a decision

A useful review ties an observation to its source document and the action needed from the project team.

Illustrative review format. These are fictional examples, not findings from a client project or a certification of design compliance.

Document referenceObservationAction to resolve
Solar proposal / load scheduleThe proposal assumes daytime load that the supplied schedule does not support.Confirm the load profile and ask the supplier to restate the sizing.
Electrical SLD E-01 / BOQ §3The changeover between grid, solar and generator is not itemised in the BOQ.Add the items or confirm the package boundary.
Battery proposal / outage recordsThe stated backup duration is not tied to the essential loads list.Agree the essential loads and recalculate the duration.

Read the scope behind the reference

These are existing published project references, with their recorded scope and limitations. They are not presented as appointments in Zambia or as evidence of local authority approval.

Chandigarh, India · Consultancy

Sector 43 drawing and BOQ revisions

Our published project record includes correspondence recording revised fire-fighting drawings and BOQ submitted for review for the Sector 43 parking project.

The submission records revision activity; it does not establish authority approval or completed installation.

NXP MEP design

Our company profile identifies a bespoke MEP design role for NXP. The published case sets out the recorded role and considerations for a similar design appointment.

The project location remains unreconciled. The profile reference does not establish experience in Zambia, a certified performance result or an approval outcome.

From enquiry to agreed deliverables

Begin with a manageable paid pilot

One system, one discipline or one drawing set gives both teams a defined first assignment. Enquiries can concern projects in Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, the Copperbelt and other provinces.

Working in more than one country? See our global MEP consultancy support.

  1. Confirm fit and confidentiality

Share a brief and document list. Agree any NDA before confidential files are exchanged.

  2. Agree the appointment

Set the design basis, inputs, outputs, fee currency, payment milestones, deadline and revision allowance.

  3. Review the first issue

Receive the agreed package, assumptions and open queries. Consolidate comments through the nominated project contact.

  4. Close comments and decide the next scope

Track responses and revisions against the appointment. Agree any additional work separately.

India is 3.5 hours ahead of Zambia, which leaves most of the Lusaka morning and afternoon open for calls and reviews.

Before you appoint a remote MEP partner

Are you registered in Zambia?

This page does not present Secured Engineers as registered in Zambia. Our offices are in Ludhiana and Noida, India, and we offer remote design and document support. Each appointment must name the local professional responsible for checking, certifying, submissions and site work.

Do you supply or install solar in Zambia?

No. Our Zambia work is consultancy only, with no supply, installation or site execution. We can review proposals and prepare agreed design documents for your local team and contractors.

Can you tell us what solar system we need?

We can review your load data and supplier proposals and set out the assumptions behind the sizing. Final selection, net metering approval and installation stay with your local team and installer.

Can we start with one package?

Yes. Start with one discipline, one drawing set or one proposal review as a paid pilot. We agree the inputs, deliverables, fee, programme and included revisions first.

Can we share confidential drawings?

Tell us your confidentiality requirements first and agree any NDA before sending confidential files. This enquiry form does not upload project files.

Discuss your Zambia project scope

Tell us what needs designing, checking or coordinating. We confirm suitability, inputs, deliverables, fee and programme before engineering starts.

What do you need?

Please mention the town, project stage, outage pattern and whether a local engineer is appointed.

Have documents? Agree any NDA first, then share them by WhatsApp or email. This form does not upload files.
