Solar proposal review · Remote support from India

Solar design review for East African factories

Check the sizing, load data and savings claims in your solar design or installer's proposal before you sign.

Secured Engineers Pvt. Ltd. offers scoped document review for owners, developers and consulting engineers, delivered remotely from India alongside the responsible local team.

Start with one paid package. Agree the outputs, fee, programme and revisions before work begins.

Remote support with clear responsibilities. Local signing, authority submissions, site verification and supervision must be assigned to the appropriately authorised project team. We confirm the permitted scope and design criteria before accepting an appointment. In East Africa we work only as a remote MEP and solar design consultant. We do not take supply, installation, site execution or contracting work.

Confirm the project terms before testing the savings

A proposal needs a traceable design basis. Your local engineer and utility confirm the applicable requirements; we review the agreed documents against those inputs.

Capacity and connection

Reconcile module capacity, inverter output, the connection limit and the capacity accepted for the application. Identify the documents still needed from the utility.

Export and billing

Confirm whether export is permitted, how credits are calculated, which charges remain and whether unused credit expires. Keep unconfirmed terms visible as assumptions.

Operating conditions

Include production hours, weekends, shutdowns, site conditions and the grid-generator interface. Check whether the savings model uses the same assumptions as the drawings.

Local responsibility

Name the appropriately authorised local professional responsible for verification, signing, applications and site work before agreeing the review scope.

General orientation only, not legal or regulatory advice. Requirements change and vary by site, so confirm them with your local team.

Choose the task

Three ways to work with us

01

Installer proposal review

For owners comparing one or more solar proposals before signing.

What you provide

Proposals, 12 months of bills, any load data and the site layout.

Outputs to agree

A referenced issue register, questions for each installer and a like-for-like comparison of their assumptions.

Equipment procurement, installation and contractor appointment are outside this remote review scope.

02

Design and single-line review

For consulting engineers and owners checking a design before tender.

What you provide

Single-line diagram, layouts, equipment schedules, specifications and BOQ.

Outputs to agree

Findings on sizing, electrical interfaces, protection, drawing and BOQ gaps, each with an action.

The review does not certify compliance or replace the registered engineer's check.

03

Technical inputs for your engineer

For registered local engineers who need extra capacity on a feasibility study.

What you provide

Load data, site information and the required format.

Outputs to agree

Agreed load analysis, sizing cases and export scenarios for your engineer to check and use.

Your registered engineer keeps signing, submissions and local responsibility.

What we look at first

Size against real load

Maximum demand may set the limit, but your daytime load decides the useful size. Weekends, shutdowns and planned growth all change the answer.

Savings that hold up

A savings figure should separate units used on site from units exported, and show any credit that could be lost. We check whether the claim follows from the proposal's own numbers.

Grid and generator interface

Outages, changeover and protection shape the design as much as the roof does. We check that solar, grid and generator are shown working together, with altitude stated where it matters.

What a review can contain

Each finding should lead to a decision

A useful review ties an observation to its source document and the action needed from the project team.

Illustrative review format. These are fictional examples, not findings from a client project or a certification of design compliance.

Document referenceObservationAction to resolve
Proposal P-02 / load dataThe proposal lists module capacity and inverter output without reconciling them with the demand records or utility connection limit.Resolve the size basis with the registered engineer and licensee.
Savings model P-05All generation is valued at the full tariff, although the proposal's own profile shows weekend exports.Re-run the model for self-use, export and no-export cases.
Electrical E-01 / proposal P-04The drawings show no interlock between solar, grid and generator during an outage.Define the interface and who supplies it.
Relevant work on record

Read the scope behind the reference

These are existing published project references, with their recorded scope and limitations. They are not presented as appointments in East Africa or as evidence of local authority approval.

Chandigarh, India · Consultancy

Sector 43 drawing and BOQ revisions

Our published project record includes correspondence recording revised fire-fighting drawings and BOQ submitted for review for the Sector 43 parking project.

The submission records revision activity; it does not establish authority approval or completed installation.

NXP MEP design

Our company profile identifies a bespoke MEP design role for NXP. The published case sets out the recorded role and considerations for a similar design appointment.

The project location remains unreconciled. The profile reference does not establish experience in East Africa, a certified performance result or an approval outcome.

From enquiry to agreed deliverables

Begin with a manageable paid pilot

One system, one discipline or one drawing set gives both teams a defined first assignment. Enquiries can concern factories, warehouses and cold stores in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia.

Working in more than one country? See our global MEP consultancy support.

  1. Confirm fit and confidentiality

Share a brief and document list. Agree any NDA before confidential files are exchanged.

  2. Agree the appointment

Set the design basis, inputs, outputs, fee currency, payment milestones, deadline and revision allowance.

  3. Review the first issue

Receive the agreed package, assumptions and open queries. Consolidate comments through the nominated project contact.

  4. Close comments and decide the next scope

Track responses and revisions against the appointment. Agree any additional work separately.

India is 2.5 hours ahead of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia, and 3.5 hours ahead of Rwanda, so most of the regional working day overlaps with ours.

Before you appoint a remote MEP partner

Do you supply equipment or carry out installation?

No. In East Africa we work only as a remote MEP and solar design consultant. We do not take supply, installation, site execution or contracting work. If you need a contractor, we can review their drawings, BOQ or proposal for you.

What is included in the review appointment?

We agree the documents, checks, deliverables and limitations before work starts. This East Africa offer is for remote consultancy; it does not include equipment supply, installation or site execution.

Are you registered in these countries?

This page does not present Secured Engineers as locally registered in any East African country. Our offices are in Ludhiana and Noida, India. Any feasibility study, signature or submission that requires a registered local engineer stays with that engineer.

Do you handle net metering applications?

No. Applications, licences and utility dealings stay with your local team. We provide agreed technical documents where they are in scope.

What do you need to start?

Twelve months of bills and the proposal or design are usually enough to scope a first review. Interval load data makes the review more useful, so send it if you have it.

How are fees quoted?

We review the documents, system size, required outputs and deadline before quoting. The proposal states the fee currency, payment milestones and revision allowance, and you can start with one proposal as a paid pilot.

Discuss your East Africa project scope

Tell us what needs designing, checking or coordinating. We confirm suitability, inputs, deliverables, fee and programme before engineering starts.

In East Africa we work only as a remote MEP and solar design consultant. We do not take supply, installation, site execution or contracting work.

What do you need?

Please mention the country, site, system size and whether you have a proposal or design to review.

Have documents? Agree any NDA first, then share them by WhatsApp or email. This form does not upload files.

ONE PARTNER. END TO END. You focus on your business — we handle the rest.
