What should an industrial lighting quotation demonstrate?
A lighting proposal should demonstrate performance at the working plane and suit the actual task, mounting height and environment. Installed wattage and fixture count alone cannot establish useful illumination.

Good lighting design hits the right lux at the lowest wattage — cutting energy while meeting workplace and safety norms. Controls add daylight and occupancy savings.

Scope of work
Lighting is designed area by area to the lux level and uniformity the task and the workplace norms require, using photometric calculation rather than a fixtures-per-square-foot rule, with the fixture type — high-bay, linear, downlight, façade or landscape — chosen for mounting height, environment and maintenance access. Controls add daylight harvesting and occupancy switching where the savings justify them. Small power covers the socket-outlet and equipment layouts, the distribution boards that feed them and the circuit protection. We supply and install the fixtures, wiring, boards and controls.
How it is delivered — and what you receive
Lux levels are measured on completion and compared with the design, because a fixture count on a drawing is not a lit room. Emergency lighting and exit signage are tested on battery for the duration the code requires and recorded for the Fire NOC. Control scenes are commissioned and documented. The client receives the lux survey, the circuit schedules and the control programming.

Prepare an industrial lighting or office fit-out enquiry
For a factory retrofit, define the working task and access constraints before replacing fittings. For an office fit-out, coordinate the lighting, small power and controls with the partition and furniture layout.
What to send with your enquiry
- Site location, floor plans, mounting heights, working areas and the tasks performed in each area.
- Existing fitting inventory, wattages, operating hours and measured light levels where available for a retrofit.
- Furniture or machine layout, available circuits, emergency-lighting requirements and the proposed controls.
- Working-at-height access, occupied-area restrictions and the installation or shutdown programme.
Compare the same scope
Compare the lighting calculation and fitting schedule alongside wiring, containment, access equipment, controls and the completion survey. A lower fixture wattage is useful only if the required lighting and operating conditions are still met.
